Second Opinions for Fibroids
Many patients come to CGS for a second opinion after they have been told that they can only have a hysterectomy with a large abdominal incision. They have been told their fibroids are too big or they have had too many prior surgeries and are therefore not candidates for the laparoscopic approach. Not only can we complete the surgery laparoscopically 99% of the time, but we can also do the procedure without the need of a robot, which increases the size and number of incisions, resulting in increased pain and longer recovery times. CGS surgeons are trained in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (ALS) and Dualport GYN procedures which allows them to complete surgery laparoscopically with the smallest incisions possible and the fastest recovery. CGS surgeons use ALS and DualportGYN procedures and technology. Robotic surgery, single site and open surgery are unnecessary and obsolete. If you have been told that you need abdominal or robotic gynecologic surgery for your fibroids, please see a CGS surgeon for a second opinion.
