Why the Center for GYN Surgery?

The Center for GYN Surgery, or CGS, was created to provide patients with a better alternative for GYN surgical care. As fellowship trained female surgeons performing more than 1,000 surgical cases each year, Dr. Danilyants and Blosser clearly understand the needs of women seeking expert surgical care for the management of all types of GYN problems. The doctors at CGS also understand the confusion that can be created by inaccurate information on line, and by the marketing of health care. Our mission at CGS is to EMPOWER our patients through EDUCATION as to the best options available should surgery be necessary. Both Dr. Danilyants and Dr. Blosser have received the highest level of training, qualifying them as Advanced Retroperitoneal Laparoscopic Surgeons (ARLS). Not all ARLS surgeons are the same. True ARLS surgeons have mastered Retroperitoneal and Extended procedures, placing them amongst very few surgeons worldwide who have achieved this goal. As a result, CGS surgeons have performed very complex cases that have spared patients from unnecessary open surgery or robotic surgery, thereby decreasing recovery time, complications, and pain. Examples of this are removal of the world’s largest uterus laparoscopically, fibroid removal for very large uteri, extremely large pelvic masses (30+ cm), and complicated endometriosis cases. CGS surgeons have also completed training and certification as DualportGYN surgeons. DualportGYN is a revolutionary new way to complete most GYN surgery laparoscopically. Dualport procedures use only two 1/4 inch incisions for many procedures such as hysterectomy and ovarian cyst surgery. Currently there is no surgical technique producing a result with smaller incisions and faster recovery nationally or internationally than DualportGYN.
